License Terms
See License Agreement (LA). In layman's terms, your license to use each of our software products are described as follows:
- SPC-PC IV Explorer: Designed for network and desktop installation on a Windows operating system, SPC-PC IV Explorer is licensed as concurrent-use licenses, meaning that you are permitted to install the software on as may computers as you like, but access to the software at any given time is limited to the number of purchased licenses. In addition, on purchase you will specify the number of concurrent-use licenses with access to only the Explorer view, and the number with full access to both the Explorer view and the optional Work Set view for real-time data entry.
- SPC-PC IV Explorer Web Interface: Sold as an option to the networked installation of SPC-PC IV Explorer, the Web Interface is licensed on a per-user basis, meaning that you may only provide login access to as many users as you have licensed for the web installation. (Users are provided access as an option within their User Properties in the User branch).
- QA-Calibrate: For network and desktop installation on a Windows operating system, SPC-PC IV Explorer is licensed as concurrent-use licenses, meaning that you are permitted to install the software on as may computers as you like, but access to the software at any given time is limited to the number of purchased licenses.
- SPC IV Excel, Green Belt XL: Designed for installation as an add-in to Windows versions of MS Excel, these products are licensed on a per-user basis, meaning that you may only install the add-in on as many computers as you have purchased licenses.
License Terms: General retail licenses purchased on our site are provided as perpetual-use licenses, meaning they do not generally expire (except due to termination as described in the LA). Exceptions to this include these license types:
- Evaluation License: Licensed for 30-day from date of download, unless you contact us to receive a password to allow for continued use for an additional 30 days.
- Student License: Licensed for 365 days from date of sale. In addition, the Student License (aka Academic License) is limited for use as follows:
- not intended for administrative purposes and restricted to academic use only (i.e., classroom instruction, computer laboratory, library reference).
- not intended for use in any commercial application.
New Versions: All licenses are purchased at the version current at the time of purchase. While we regularly issue new versions of each of our products, you are only entitled to a specific new version or versions if you purchase an upgrade or a maintenance plan that includes free upgrades for a specified period (usually 365 days).
