Hierarchical Designs

Hierarchical Designs - Designs in which factor-levels are successively nested within other factor-levels to form a run. The nesting need not be symmetrical. Graphically, this resembles a tree structure.

Hierarchal designs may sometimes be more conveniently analyzed as blocked designs.
