A response is a resultant, that is, a measured characteristic from the experiment. It is the result of an experiment or trial conducted at a specific set of factor-levels. There may be several responses recorded for each run. Responses may be combined to form a calculated response for analysis. Responses must be quantitative (measured) variables to be included in ANOVA and Regression analyses.
