I would appreciate your help in directing me towards the literature on the uses of
Six Sigma in Information Systems.

I am not aware of any literature specifically targeted to MIS. Nonetheless, I have had the pleasure of
working with individuals in MIS and computer programming who have successfully applied Six Sigma methods to their products and services. The methodology is similar
to that described in my Six Sigma
Demystified book: definition of customer needs, with projects targeted to improve key metrics relative to those needs. As in any application, focusing on issues
critical to cost, quality and scheduling will generally lead to meaningful improvement.
