- A major enhancement was added to improve the structure of the Explorer view tree.
- Chart analyses based on filtered queries of a characteristic can now be conveniently created and managed directly in the Characteristic branch. The child characteristics are displayed beneath their parent, indented and color-coded for easy differentiation. Additional work sets and analyses can be subsequently linked to the parent or child, as desired.
- Default Analysis: Define a default analysis for a process to limit the need for creating and managing analyses in the Analysis branch. For example, use the default process monitor chart for the process and view the process monitor window directly from the Process branch.
- Default Work Sets: Users with the real-time Work Set option can now define a default work set for a process to limit the need for creating and managing work sets in the Work Set branch. The default work set can be opened directly from the Process branch.
- Dynamic Work Sets: Users with the real-time Work Set option can now define filter criteria to be applied upon opening. This will permit more general definition of data collection work sets, so that a specific data collection session can then be limited to a given type of data (based on a traceability field: for example, part size; supplier; customer; and so on).
- Names associated with each branch (for example, a process name or a characteristic name) can be edited directly in the branch, without the need to open the Define... dialog box.
- When a process or one of its characteristics is used in an analysis or work set, a convenient Go To menu option is added to the Process (or Characteristic) menu to quickly locate the analysis or work set.
- ODBC query criteria may be copied between characteristics.
- When external data is analyzed, the control limits can now be based on a query criteria distinct from the plotted data. This allows, for example, the ability to view only recent data on the chart, but have its control limits based on historical data not shown on the chart.

- A number of options have been added to conveniently specify a chart's title and subtitle based on the process and/or characteristic name, as well as user-defined custom entries. These properties, including custom labels, may be copied to other characteristics using the Copy Property feature.
- The Copy Property feature has been improved to allow for selection of multiple properties to be copied to multiple characteristics. Traceability Fields may now also be copied. In addition, the control limit calculation property may also be copied from/to the first region of a characteristic.
- A Subgroup Note (its specific contents, or its existence) may now be used as a filter option for a characteristic's Plotted Data. The filtering option has been generally improved through addition of a filter for null conditions of a specified field.
- Formula characteristics in work sets and analyses will by default display the traceability fields associated with the first characteristic applied in the formula.

- Stack option for the Pareto charts added to allow for each bar to be delineated by the count of a specified Traceability field. For example, if each bar in the Pareto represents the error type, you might choose a stack parameter such as "Department" to indicate where the error had occurred. This would have the effect of creating groupings within each Pareto bar, with the height of the grouping based on the relative count of the stack parameter within the bar's total count.
- Added specification and target lines to Attribute control charts.
- Option to assign a common date/time stamp for all Characteristics in a given data collection pass within a Work Set. This allows for more convenient viewing of data in a Work Set spreadsheet.

- It's much easier to create control charts or multiple characteristic analyses based on external data: just open the Excel, text or QDB file and select the chart type. There's no need to import the data first, but you can easily import the data using a prompt when the spreadsheet is closed.

- You can also create new control charts or multiple characteristic analyses from a blank spreadsheet without the need to create the process or analysis characteristic first.
