Regression Sum of Squares

For a balanced orthogonal experimental array, with all factors independent, the Partial Sum of Squares for each factor, the interactions and the error term all add to the Total Sum of Squares. The sum of squares for all parameters (as a group) and the error term always add to the Total Sum of Squares. An F-test is used to express the significance of the regression. A high significance is expected for a model which fully explains the response.
